As the entire route yet to be fully electrified, an Abu Road based WDM 3A or Bhagat Ki Kothi based WDP 4D locomotive hauls the train from Bikaner Junction up to Agra Fort handing over to a Howrah based WAP 4 / WAP 7 locomotives which powers the train for the remainder of its journey.

- 12496 Pratap Express runs from Kolkata every Friday reaching Bikaner Junction on the 3rd day .i.e. Sunday.
