Kurakhove
Kurakhove (Ukrainian: Курахове, Russian: Курахово) is a city in Marinka Raion of Donetsk Oblast (province) of Ukraine. Population: 18,782 (2020 est.)[1] ; 21,479 (2001). At Kurakhove, there is Kurakhove Power Station.

In Kurakhove the 11 May 2014 Donetsk Oblast independence referendum was conducted; but the city did not became part of the territory controlled by the Donetsk People's Republic (who held the referendum).[2] Since then the city is 10 miles west of the frontlines of the War in Donbass.[3][4]
