Aset Ergaliev
Aset Armanuly Ergaliev (Kazakh: Әсет Арманұлы Ерғалиев; born 18 June 1986) is a Kazakh politician who's serving as a Minister of National Economy since 18 January 2021.

Biography
Early life and education
Ergaliev was born in 1986 in the city of Kostanay. In 2008, he completed his studies at the KIMEP University in the field of public policy economics. In 2009, Ergaliev earned his masters from the York University in economics then a year later in 2010 from the University of Nottingham in philosophy and economics. He holds a Ph.D in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.[1]
Career
In 2010, Ergaliev worked as a regional policy analyst for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus in the Economic Department of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. From October 2011 to January 2013, he was a chief regional analyst until becoming the director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Development, vice president, deputy chairman of the Management Board, first deputy chairman of the Management Board of JSC Economic Research Institute. From February 2016, he served as the institute chairman. In October 2016, Ergaliev was appointed as advisor to the Chairman of the Board of JSC NMH Baiterek. He worked there until becoming the head of the Project Management Center of the Prime Minister's Office in July 2018.[1]
On 3 September 2018, Ergaliev was appointed as a Vice Minister of National Economy.[2] From 12 March 2019, he promptly worked as a deputy head of the Prime Minister's Office until being reappointed to the post of the First Vice Minister of National Economy on 19 August 2019.[3]
On 18 January 2021, by the Decree of the President, Ergaliev became the Minister of National Economy, succeeding role that was previously held by Ruslan Dälenov.[4][5]
