The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Minnesota
As of December 31, 2019, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) reported 33,276 members in 8 stakes, 75 congregations (52 wards and 23 branches), 29 Family History Centers, one mission, and one temple in Minnesota.[1]
History
In 1875, the first official LDS Church congregation in Minnesota was organized in Freeborn County.[2]
In 2020, the LDS Church canceled services and other public gatherings indefinitely in response to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.[3]
Temple
The St. Paul Minnesota Temple was dedicated on January 9, 2000 by President Gordon B. Hinckley.
