The state constituency was created in the 2003 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Selangor State Legislative Assembly under the first past the post voting system.
History
2004–2016: The constituency contains the polling districts of Bukit Bangkung, Sungai Rawang, Tanjong Rhu, Tanjong Sepat Tempatan 1, Tanjong Sepat Tempatan 2, Tanjong Sepat Tempatan 3, Tanjong Sepat Tempatan 4, Tanjong Sepat Tempatan 5, Tanjong Sepat 6, Kundang, Batu Laut, Kampung Endah, Sungai Lang, Sungai Kelambu.
2016–present:[1] The constituency contains the polling districts of Bukit Bangkung, Sungai Rawang, Tanjong Rhu, Tanjong Sepat Tempatan 1, Tanjong Sepat Tempatan 2, Tanjong Sepat Tempatan 3, Tanjong Sepat Tempatan 4, Tanjong Sepat Tempatan 5, Tanjong Sepat 6, Kundang, Batu Laut, Kampung Endah, Sungai Lang, Sungai Kelambu.
