Ornithoprion
Ornithoprion is an extinct genus of eugeneodontid holocephalid closely related to Caseodus[1] that existed in the Moscovian stage of the Carboniferous from 315.2 to 307 million years ago.[2] Various species had an elongated lower jaw.[3] The discovery of Ornithoprion helped establish the fact that Helicoprion had its tooth whorl on the lower jaw.
