National Poultry Show

The National Poultry Show (previously the Royal Canberra National Poultry Show[1]) is the largest poultry Show in the Southern Hemisphere, held every four years[2] on the year of the Olympics and attracting exhibitors from across Australia.

It was hosted in Canberra, by the Royal National Capital Agricultural Society[3] up until 2016, when it transferred to Sydney and the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales (RAS NSW).[4]

The show has in the past hosted 5000 birds and 1500 exhibitors,[5][6] requiring up to 58 judges, some of whom have been international.[7]

With officials citing the COVID-19 pandemic as cause of 2020's cancellation,[8] the next show will be held in 2024.
