Controversies

On January 8, 2020, Arias Consultores released a poll that describes the best and worst governors. Miguel Barbosa Huerta was declared the worst.[5]

On March 24, 2020, Governor Barbosa claimed that only the wealthy were at risk of COVID-19, since the poor are immune.[6]

He illegally claimed to be a lawyer for over 30 years, only officially obtaining his degree a few months before becoming governor.[7]
