The ambassador and his staff work at large in the Embassy of Russia in Singapore.[1] The post of Russian Ambassador to Singapore is currently held by Andrey Tatarinov, incumbent since 20 February 2015.[2][3]

History of diplomatic relations

Diplomatic relations at the mission level between the Soviet Union and Singapore were first established on 1 June 1968.[4] The first ambassador, Ilya Safonov, was appointed on 18 December 1968, and presented his credentials on 23 January 1969.[4] With the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, the Soviet ambassador, Nikolai Loginov, continued as representative of the Russian Federation until 1994.[4]
