The ambassador and his staff work at large in the Embassy of Russia in Manama.[2] The post of Russian Ambassador to Bahrain is currently held by Igor Kremnev, incumbent since 19 September 2018.[3]

History of diplomatic relations

Diplomatic relations at the mission level between the Soviet Union and Bahrain were first established on 29 September 1990.[4][5] The first Soviet ambassador was appointed in April 1991, and presented his credentials on 30 July 1991.[4][5]
