Jarvie, Alberta
Jarvie is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within Westlock County.[1] It is located 0.6 kilometres (0.37 mi) west of Highway 44, approximately 108 kilometres (67 mi) northwest of Edmonton.
Demographics
As a designated place in the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Jarvie recorded a population of 87 living in 48 of its 55 total private dwellings, a change of -23% from its 2011 population of 113. With a land area of 0.48 km2 (0.19 sq mi), it had a population density of 181.3/km2 (469.4/sq mi) in 2016.[2]
As a designated place in the 2011 Census, Jarvie had a population of 113 living in 49 of its 50 total dwellings, a -0.9% change from its 2006 population of 114. With a land area of 0.52 km2 (0.20 sq mi), it had a population density of 217.3/km2 (563/sq mi) in 2011.[3]
