Huichapan
Huichapan (Spanish: [wiˈtʃapan] (listen); Otomi: Nxamädo) is a town and one of the 84 municipalities of Hidalgo, in central-eastern Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 668.1 km². Its name derives from the Classical Nahuatl Huēyichiyapan.

As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 39,734.[1] In 2017 there were 425 inhabitants who spoke an indigenous language,[2] primarily Otomí del Valle del Mezquital[3]
