Botswana–Spain relations
Botswana–Spain relations are the bilateral and diplomatic relations between these two countries. Botswana has no embassy in Spain[1] but it has a consulate in Madrid.[2] Spain has an embassy in Windhoek, Namibia accredited to Botswana and a consulate in Gaborone, capital of Botswana.[3]

Diplomatic relations
Spain maintains diplomatic relations with the Republic of Botswana since April 29 of 1981. Relationships are considered good but limited: low presence of Spaniards in the country, little relevant bilateral trade, and reduced number of trips and high-level visits.[4]
Economic relations
On a commercial level, Spanish exports have rarely exceeded the 0.01% share of total Spanish exports, in addition to being characterized by their lack of regularity. As an exception, in 2009 they experienced a spectacular increase thanks to the sale by EADS-CASA of two CN-235 aircraft to the Botswana government. As for the Spanish imports from Botswana, these are also scarce and represent a minimum part of the total Spanish imports.[5]
Cooperation
There are no Spanish development cooperation programs or projects with Botswana.[6]
