Andrea Kimi Antonelli
Andrea Kimi Antonelli (born 25 August 2006) is an Italian go-kart racer. He won the CIK-FIA Karting European Championship in 2020 and is a member of the Mercedes Junior Team.[1]

Career
Karting
Born in Bologna, Antonelli started his karting career in 2014. In 2015, he won the Easykart Easy 60 class and followed it up with a third place in the Trofeo Industrie 60 Mini category a year later. He then quickly moved up to the WSK Super Master Series 60 Mini in 2017 and finished third once again.
The 2018 season was an important year for Antonelli, where he won the WSK Champions Cup 60 Mini category with Energy Corse. At the same time, he competed in various karting competitions, finishing second in the Italian Championship 60 Mini class, fifth in the WSK Final Cup and winning the 23° South Garda Winter Cup in the Mini ROK class.[2]
In the 2019 season the Italian moved up to the OKJ class and competed for the Rosberg Racing Academy. He won the WSK Euro Series in this class and took victory in the WSK Super Master Series and the 24° South Garda Winter Cup. Antonelli also finished second in the FIA Karting European Championship (OKJ).
The Italian earned a first FIA title in 2020 in the European Championship in the OK Class. He was overall winner of two rounds, second place in the other, and a week after the finale also won the WSK Euro Series.[3]
In the final race of the 2020 World Karting Championship Antonelli broke a leg and foot in a crash during the final.[4]
Formula One
In April 2019, at the age of twelve, Antonelli was officially introduced as a member of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Junior Team alongside Jamaican Alex Powell.[5]
