2020 HS7
2020 HS7 is an asteroid classified as a near-Earth object that passed within 42,730 kilometres (26,550 mi) of the Earth on April 28, 2020,[1][2] with a fly-by speed of 9.7 miles (15.6 km) per second.[4] The car-sized asteroid when first discovered had a 10% chance of impact with Earth, but additional observations showed that the asteroid posed no risk of impact to Earth. However, it did pass within 1,210 kilometres (750 mi) of the nearest satellite in the geostationary ring at 35,785 kilometres (22,236 mi) above Earth's equator.

The asteroid was discovered April 27, 2020 using Pan-STARRS at the Haleakala Observatory, Hawaii.[3] There are no encounters closer than the distance to the Moon predicted to occur before the year 2055.[4]
