The 1989 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 80th staging of the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1909.

On 1 October 1989, Valley Rovers won the championship following a 6-12 to 3-05 defeat of Kilbrittain in the final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.[1] This was their first ever championship title.
