Xeroplexa
Xeroplexa[1] is a genus of small, air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the family Geomitridae,[2] the hairy snails and their allies.[3] The genus is mainly distributed along western Iberian Peninsula, although X. intersecta spreads from northern Iberian Peninsula to central Europe and British Islands.[4][2] Xeroplexa species were within genus Candidula until a molecular phylogeny revealed the polyphyly of Candidula, and the genus Xeroplexa Monterosato, 1892 was recovered.[2]
