Witteveen, Midden-Drenthe
Witteveen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋɪtəˌveːn]; English: White Bog) is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Midden-Drenthe, and lies about 16 km northeast of Hoogeveen.

In 2001, the village of Witteveen had 160 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.049 km², and contained 47 residences.[1] The statistical area "Witteveen", which can also include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 620.[2]
