A year after its release, Yamashita rewrote the song as "Sayonara Natsu no Hi" (さよなら夏の日, "Goodbye, Summer Day"). Yamashita's interpretation was issued as one of the lead singles for his Artisan album, and gained more commercial success than the original recording.[1]
