Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is an upcoming first-person action game being developed and published by Swedish video game studio Fatshark, which is planned to be released exclusively for Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X/S in 2021. Set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the game will use a similar formula to that used in Fatshark's Warhammer: Vermintide 2 in which four players cooperate to defeat periodic waves of AI-controlled enemies.[1][2] The game's story will focus on a squadron of Imperial Guardsmen investigating a cult on the planet Atoma Prime.[3]

A gameplay trailer was released in December 10, 2020, which showcased the use of weapons such as a Lasgun and a chainsword being used to defeat hordes of Poxwalkers. Among the playable characters, an Imperial Guardsman and an Ogryn could be observed. The developers commented that Darktide is planned to be less melee focused than Vermintide 2, getting closer to a 50/50 split between melee and ranged combat.[4]
