Wadhwan–ajkot metre-auge section of Morvi State Railway laid in the year 1890.[3] Rajkot–Wadhwan section was completed in the year 1905 by Morvi State Railway. Later Morvi–ankaner section was converted to mtre gauge in 1924 to match rail lines of other state.[4]
