Volvo Concept XC Coupe

The Volvo Concept XC Coupé was one concept car, which was first revealed at the January 2014 North American International Auto Show. The Volvo Concept XC Coupé was the second of three planned concept cars, designed by the head of design of Volvo, Thomas Ingenlath, which intended to point the way for the future design direction, by Volvo.[1]

The basic design is shared with Volvo Concept Coupé, which was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in September 2013, and the three door concept car, looks more like one modern interpretation of the 1800 ES, than the upcoming second generation XC90, which is the seven seater crossover.

The Concept XC Coupé was based on the then new platform Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) which would provide the technical foundation for all future models by Volvo, as revealed in December 2013.[2]
