Văn Bàn District
Văn Bàn is a rural district of Lào Cai Province in the Northeastern region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 73,183.[1] The district covers an area of 1,444 km². The district capital lies at Khánh Yên.[1]

The district is located in the southern part of the province, on the right bank of the Red River.

Khánh Yên, Văn Sơn, Võ Lao, Tân An, Tân Thượng, Nậm Mả, Nậm Rạng, Nậm Tha, Liêm Phú, Chiềng Ken, Sơn Thủy, Khánh Yên Hạ, Khánh Yên Trung, Khánh Yên Thượng, Làng Giàng, Hòa Mạc, Dần Thàng, Dương Qùy, Nậm Chày, Thẳm Dương, Minh Lương, Nậm Xây and Nậm Xé.
