Uygur District
Uygur District (Kazakh: Ұйғыр ауданы, Uıgyr aýdany) is a district of Almaty Region in Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the selo of Chundzha.[2] Population: 62,316 (2013 estimate);[1] 60,792 (2009 Census results);[3] 62,981 (1999 Census results).[3]

Torchlight Uygur Group of Uygurs living abroad was founded in 2019 to defend their civil rights against repressions in China. Serikzhan Bilash is its founder of it.
