Umurlu, Aydın
Umurlu is a town in the central district of Aydın Province, Turkey. At 37°51′N 27°58′E it is 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) east of Aydın. The population of the town was 11368[1] as of 2012. It is claimed that the town was named after Umur Bey, a bey of Turkmen beylik Aydınoğlu.[2] If so, the town was founded in the 14th century.
