Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012
Turkey participated for the last time in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Turkish entry was selected through an internal selection, organised by the Turkish broadcaster TRT. Can Bonomo represented Turkey with the song "Love Me Back", which qualified from the second semi-final and went on to place 7th in the final, scoring 112 points.[1][2]

Internal selection
On 9 January 2012 during the evening news program on TRT, the internal selection of Can Bonomo was announced.[3]
On 22 February 2012, TRT aired a presentation program where Bonomo premièred the Turkish entry "Love Me Back".[2]
At Eurovision
Turkey competed in the second half of the second semi-final (13th on stage), on 24 May 2012, following Georgia and preceding Estonia. Can Bonomo received 80 points and placed 5th, thus qualifying for the final on 26 May.[4]
In the final, Turkey was drawn to perform 18th, after Sweden and preceding Spain. The Turkish entry scored a total of 112 points and placed 7th in the final.[1]
After this entry, Turkey withdrew from the contest, and has not returned since.

- In the semi-final Turkey came 5th with 80 points: the public awarded Turkey 4th place with 114 points and the jury awarded 13th place with 42 points.[5]
- In the final Turkey came 7th with 112 points: the public awarded Turkey 4th place with 176 points and the jury awarded 22nd place with 50 points.[5]
