  • City of Anaheim incorporated.[1]
  • Anaheim Gazette newspaper begins publication.[4]
  • Anaheim Police Department established.
  • Population: 881.[1]
• 1871 – City Hall built.[2]
• 1875 – Southern Pacific railway begins operating.[3]
• 1878 – California Brewery in business.[5]
• 1887 – Santa Fe Railroad begins operating.[1][6]
• 1895 – Anaheim Chamber of Commerce established.
