TV Verdes Mares
TV Verdes Mares (Green Seas Tv) is a television station in Fortaleza, Ceará. TV Verdes Mares is a Globo affiliate. The station belongs to the Sistema Verdes Mares, is one of the largest communications conglomerates in the state of Ceará, Sistema Verdes Mares also owns the newspaper Diário do Nordeste and TV Diario.

History
On October 23, 1969 TV Verdes Mares went on-air on a test phase.
The signal went on ir definitely three months later on January 31, 1970, and the TV Verdes Mares was the second TV station in Ceará to go on-air.
From 1973, TV Verdes Mares signal reaches the interior of the state and, some cities in the neighboring states, like Mossoró, Rio Grande do Norte. In 1974, it becomes a Rede Globo affiliate and in the same year, it makes the first color TV broadcast in Northeast region, during the delivery of the Troféu Sereia de Ouro (Gold Mermaid Award), that took place on September 7.
Starting in 1994, TV Verdes Mares began to retransmit its programming to the interior of Ceará, using repeaters.
