Suroor Barabankvi
Suroor Barabankvi (1919–1980) (Urdu: سرور بارہ بنکوی ) was an Urdu poet and lyricist from Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India. Born Syed Saeed ur Rehman, he wrote under the takhallus (pen name) Suroor (exhilaration).[1] He also directed three films, all in Urdu: Aakhri Station (1965) in East Pakistan,[2] and Tum Mere Ho (1968)[3] and Aashna (1970) in West Pakistan.[4] He died in 1980 at Karachi, Pakistan.[1]
