Soldiers of Love (Lighthouse X song)

"Soldiers of Love" is a song performed by Danish boyband Lighthouse X. The song represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, and was written by the band along with Sebastian F. Ovens, Daniel Lund Jørgensen, and Katrine Klith Andersen.[1] The song was released as a digital download on 8 January 2016 through Little Jig Records.[2]

Lighthouse X was revealed to be one of the competing artists in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016 after the artists and songs were leaked on 10 January 2016 through Spotify.[3][4][5] In the final of the competition, the group advanced to the superfinal along with Simone and Anja Nissen, and later were revealed as the winners earning 42% of the televotes.[1] They represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, competing in the second half of the second semi-final.[6] held on May 12, 2016, but failed to qualify to the May 14 finals.
