On 11 May 2019, the station was reopened after more than a year of extensive renovation works, which among other improvements included multiple elevators, making Metro Sevilla completely accessible.[3] Despite its platform length of only 60 metres, it is now technologically one of the most modern stations in the entire system and can be seen as the first example of a future standard.
