Sampang Regency
Sampang Regency is a regency (Indonesian: kabupaten) of East Java province, Indonesia. It is situated on Madura Island, bordering on Pamekasan Regency to the east, the Java Sea to the north, Bangkalan Regency to the west and Madura Strait to the south. It covers an area of 1,233.3 km2, and had a population at the 2010 census of 877,772[2] and 935,891 at the 2015 Intermediate Census.[3]

Sampang Regency consists of fourteen districts (Indonesian: kecamatan), tabulated below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census,[4] and the estimated populations at the end of 2015.[5] The table also includes the number of administrative villages (rural desa and urban kelurahan) in each district, and its post code.
