History
Real Santander
The club was founded on January 17, 2006 in Floridablanca, Santander Department as Real Santander after the demise of Real Floridablanca eight years earlier. Real Santander themselves were established when they acquired the place of Pumas de Canasare in 2006 and they started in Categoría Primera B, Colombia's second tier in 2007. Financial difficulties at their hometown forced the club to relocate to the Caribbean island of San Andrés in late 2018, being renamed as Real San Andrés.[3]
Real San Andrés
They were renamed Real San Andrés, becoming the first professional team from the islands and finishing the 2019 Apertura season in 14th place.
