Pan Desuyo!
Pan Desuyo! ("It's Bread!") is a bread product sold in a can. It was created with the help of a pastry chef named Eiji Kato. The product was inspired by the fact that canned food is perfect for emergency situations because of its long shelf life. Kato was able to create a product without preservatives or additives that would stay fresh in a can for three years.
Pan Desuyo! is manufactured by a group of six physically disabled residents of the Nagoya Light House Kowa dormitory. The factory they use was completed in early April in Nagoya's Koei district.
Pan Desuyo! comes in three varieties; chocolate chip; raisin and fruit; and a coffee, fruit and nut flavor.
