Nika Turković

Nika Turković (born 7 June 1995 in Zagreb, Croatia) is a Croatian singer. She is best known for representing Croatia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "Hej mali". She placed third.[1]

Biography

Turković was born on 7 June 1995 in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Her mother Gordana Turković, is a dentist, and her father Petar Turković, is a psychologist and also technical director of the Croatian nanbudo federation and Founder of the "Gradec" Nanbudo Club of Zagreb, the first nanbudo club to be organised in Croatia in 1978.[2] She also lives with her sister Kiara and her maternal grandmother Biserka. She is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, and Slovene in addition to her native Croatian.[3]

Career

In 2004, Turković was chosen to represent Croatia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 held in Lillehammer, Norway. She placed third in the competition.[1] In 2006, she released her debut album, titled Alien.[4] Her live performances include joining Dina Rizvić for some songs in the opening concert of the 2014 Labin Jazz Festival.[5]

Personal life

Turković is in a relationship with Croatian singer Matija Cvek.[6]
