Nigalihawa
Nigalihawa is a village development committee in Kapilvastu District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 7564 people living in 1231 individual households.[1]

History
Modern day Nigalihawa was known as Sobhavati in ancient times. According to Theravāda Buddhist tradition, Koṇāgamana Buddha was born in Sobhavati.[2] Koṇāgamana Buddha is one of the ancient Buddhas whose biography is chronicled in chapter 23[2] of the Buddhavamsa, one of the books of the Pāli Canon.
