Miss Alaska

The Miss Alaska competition is a scholarship pageant that selects the representative for the state of Alaska in the Miss America pageant. Unlike most state-level pageants in the Miss America system, Alaska allows any eligible woman to enter the Miss Alaska pageant without first having to win a local qualifying pageant.[1]

Maile Johnston of Eagle River was crowned Miss Alaska 2019 on May 31, 2019, at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium on the UAA campus in Anchorage, Alaska. She competed for the title of Miss America 2020 in December 2019.
