Members of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, 1947–1950
Members of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly who served in the 35th parliament held their seats from 1947 to 1950. They were elected at the 1947 state election,[1] and at by-elections.[2][3][4] The Speaker was Bill Lamb.[5]</ref>
- The changes to the composition of the house, in chronological order, were: Padman sat as a Liberal, Knight resigned, Fitzgerald joined the Country Party, Beale joined the Liberal Party, Cunningham died, Currey died, Davidson died, Carlton died, Noble died, Baddeley resigned, Bate resigned, Drummond resigned, Davies resigned, Mutton died, Geraghty, Seiffert, Heferen and Stanley were expelled from Labor,<ref name=':15' group='lower-alpha'>The Labor Party expelled four MLAs before the 1950 election - James Geraghty (North Sydney), John Seiffert (Monaro), Roy Heferen (Barwon) and Fred Stanley (Lakemba) for not following the party's endorsed ticket in a Legislative Council election. All four served out the remainder of their terms as independents.
