Maya Le Tissier
Maya Le Tissier (born 18 April 2002) is a professional footballer who currently plays as a defender for Brighton & Hove Albion of the FA Women's Super League (WSL).[1]

Maya, was chosen as the winner of the Her Football Hub’s Rising Star Award for 2020 by former England player Fern Whelan. Previous winners include Birmingham’s Lily Simkin.
Club career
Le Tissier started her youth football career at St. Martins A.C. on her home island of Guernsey[2] before moving to the English WSL side Brighton & Hove Albion in May 2018.[3] After spending a short period of time in the development squad she made her senior debut on 5 December 2018 in the League Cup against Crystal Palace.[4] She made her league debut four days later against Chelsea.
International career
Le Tissier was the first female player to play with Guernsey men's team in 2018.[5]
Le Tissier made her England U-17 debut on 19 September 2018 as captain against Moldova,[6] after having captained the U-15 side. Her step up to U-19 level came on 6 March 2020 against Sweden in the La Manga tournament.[7]
Personal life
Despite being born on the same relatively small island as fellow footballer Matt Le Tissier, the two are not related.[8]
