"Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip-Hop)" is the title of a 2002 single by singer Erykah Badu and rapper Common. It spent four weeks at number one on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, and reached number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also won a Soul Train Lady of Soul Award for Best Solo R&B/Soul Single and the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song.

The song was featured in the 2002 film Brown Sugar and is found on the film's soundtrack. The song, film, Common's song "I Used to Love H.E.R." and The Roots song "Act Too (The Love Of My Life)" all share a common theme: the personification of hip hop.
Remix
In 2003, the official remix entitled, "Love of My Life Worldwide" appeared on Erykah Badu's album, Worldwide Underground. "Funk You Up! (Love Of My Life Remix)" is another version of the song, with Badu rapping different lyrics. The remix contained rap vocals from Badu, Queen Latifah, Bahamadia and Angie Stone. This remix sampled "Funk You Up" by the rap group The Sequence, of which Angie Stone was a member.
