List of ships of the Egyptian Navy
This is a list of Egyptian Navy ships including all ships of the Egyptian Navy as well as its predecessors.
The Egyptian Navy is the largest navy in the Middle East and Africa. The majority of the Egyptian Navy's ships were received from the Soviet Union in the 1960s and China in the 1980s. Since the late 1990s Egyptian Navy made a modernization project in which new vessels were acquired from western sources such as the United States, Germany and France. During the past 6 years, which is during the Egyptian president Abdelfatah El Sisi's regime, Egypt has been experiencing a large technological improvement in its navy fleet. Making it every year more comparable to the large and capable navys of the world.
