List of cities by number of billionaires
There are a number of different lists compiled by various publications around the world that attempt to determine the number of billionaires by world's major cities.
Hurun Global Rich List
Beijing has been described as the "billionaire capital of the world" since overtaking New York City in 2016.[1][2] In 2020, the Hurun Global Rich List listed Beijing with the most billionaires at 110 people, followed by New York City with 98 billionaires, and Shanghai in third place with 83 billionaires after overtaking Hong Kong for the first time. In the Hurun Global Rich List 2020 of the world's billionaires, the list included 2,816 billionaires from 71 countries and from 2,182 companies with a total net wealth of $11.2 trillion.[2][3]

Forbes
In 2020, Forbes listed New York City with the most US dollar billionaires at 92 people, followed by Hong Kong with 71 billionaires, and Moscow in third place with 70 billionaires.[4]

In the 34th annual Forbes list of the world's billionaires, the list included 2,095 billionaires with a total net wealth of $8 trillion, down 58 members and $700 billion from 2018.[5] The list was finalized as of 18 March, thus was already partially influenced by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Times of London
The Times (of London), by way of the Sunday Times, compiles annually the Sunday Times Rich List. This list has determined that London is home to the most billionaires (80), whilst New York City is second with 56, and San Francisco rounds out the top three with 49.
UBS Wealth Census
In 2015, UBS listed New York City with the most billionaires with 103, followed by London with 43.
