The Ambassador of Afghanistan to the United States, officially the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the United States of America, is the official representative of the President of Afghanistan to the President of the United States. The ambassador and the embassy staff at large work at the Afghan Embassy in the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The current ambassador is H.E. Roya Rahmani, who succeeded Dr. Hamdullah Mohib in December 2018.
