The show opens with Johnny describing about his first day as the host of The Tonight Show on October 1, 1962 at the age of 36. Then, Johnny shows photographs of his first day as the host of The Tonight Show, using it as the audio. Then, Johnny described about his guests on that first night: Groucho Marx, Rudy Vallee, Joan Crawford, Tony Bennett, and Mel Brooks. Then, a montage of Johnny's entrances throughout the years are shown. Johnny sat on the stool to show clips from previous episodes. Then, he interviews Ed McMahon and Doc Severinsen. After that, Johnny shows a behind the scenes look at the making of The Tonight Show, featuring musical guest Stevie Wonder. |
