The following article is a list of characters from the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen.

Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High

Students

Yuji Itadori (虎杖 悠仁, Itadori Yūji)

Voiced by: Junya Enoki[1] (Japanese); Adam McArthur[2] (English)

A teenager athlete who joins his school's Occult Club to avoid the track team. After finding and opening a box containing a cursed charm resembling a rotting finger, his school is attacked by phantom-like creatures known as Curses. In order to protect his friends, he consumes the rotting finger and becomes possessed by a Curse known as Ryoumen Sukuna. He later joins the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo, where he is placed under a sort of death sentence, which has been suspended until he consumes all of Sukuna's fingers in order to kill himself and Sukuna at the same time.

Megumi Fushiguro (伏黒 恵, Fushiguro Megumi)

Voiced by: Yuma Uchida[1] (Japanese); Robbie Daymond[2] (English)

A sorcerer studying in first year at the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo. He meets Yuji when trying to locate a high-grade cursed charm talisman at his high school. He is the one that convinces Satoru to try to save Yuji from his execution after his possession by Sukuna. He uses his curse power to create spirits (式神, Shikigami) out of his own shadows to exorcise Curses. He has been noted to have high potential as a sorcerer by several other powerful people, including Sukuna himself.

Nobara Kugisaki (釘崎 野薔薇, Kugisaki Nobara)

A sorcerer studying in first year at the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo. She transferred to the college so that she could live in Tokyo without any expenses. She meets Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro during her first official mission as a sorcerer. While not nearly on the same level as Yuji, Nobara proves that she can be as ignorant or misinformed as he is on several occasions. She uses a charm weapon hammer and nails infused with her curse power to exorcise Curses.

Maki Zen'in (禪院 真希, Zen'in Maki)

Voiced by: Mikako Komatsu[3] (Japanese); Allegra Clark (English)

A second year student at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High. She, along with Toge and Panda, recruit Megumi and Nobara (and later Yuji) to participate in the Sister School Exchange Event with Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High. Maki comes from a prestigious sorceror clan and as the eldest child, is poised to be the next heir. But due to her low Cursed Energy, she and her twin sister Mai were demoted to being the clan's servant girls. She later left the clan to attend Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High to become a Jujutsu Sorceror. Having low Cursed Energy, she requires the use of glasses to see Curses. She makes up for this with her physical prowess, as well as her skills using a variety of weapons that she uses as Cursed Tools.

Toge Inumaki (狗巻 棘, Inumaki Toge)

A second year student at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High who takes part in the Sister School Exchange Event alongside Maki and Panda. He is seen with his mouth covered and speaks only in various seafood terms. This is due to his cursed power concentrated in his voice, creating various effects against Curses depending on how he speaks and uses his words.

Panda (パンダ)

A second year student at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High who takes part in the Sister School Exchange Event. Although having an appearance of a giant panda, he is actually a unique type of Cursed Corpse created by Masamichi Yaga, in which not only does Panda have sentience, but grows and matures as he ages. Also unique to him is having three "cores" (the 'heart' of a Cursed Corpse), which he can change back and forth to unlock various abilities.

Yuta Okkotsu (乙 (おっ)骨 (こつ)憂 (ゆう)太 (た), Okkotsu Yūta)

The protagonist of Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School (volume 0), which serves as a prequel for the main series. Yuta was initially a cursed victim of Special-Grade, haunted by the spirit of his childhood friend, Rika Orimoto. Satoru Gojo took charge of Yuta's case and enrolled him at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High, where he befriended Maki Zen'in, Toge Inumaki and Panda. After training with Gojo and the other students, Yuta learns to control his cursed energy and becomes a skilled swordsman. Even after Rika's curse is lifted, Yuta maintains his Special-Grade ranking, so much so that he can beat Suguru Geto, and Gojo has stated that Yuta has the potential to overcome him. Yuta's great power comes from being a descendant of one of the three great sorcerer clans and is the reason he cursed Rika when she refused her death at a young age. Yuta is still a sophomore at the institute, studying abroad.[4]

Faculty and staff

Satoru Gojo (五条 悟, Gojō Satoru)

Voiced by: Yūichi Nakamura[5] (Japanese); Kaiji Tang[2] (English)

A sorcerer working as a teacher in the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High. He teaches Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki. He convinces his superiors at the college to keep Yuji alive until he consumes all of Sukuna's fingers. Even though his title of 'The Strongest' is self-proclaimed, most allies and enemies alike never actually dispute the title and generally consider him to be one of the most dangerous people alive. As a result, he is widely respected and venerated by sorcerers, even by those in the college's sister school in Kyoto, and holds high influence in the sorcery world. He uses his curse power to control the space around him in innumerable ways.

Kento Nanami (七海 建人, Nanami Kento)

Voiced by: Kenjiro Tsuda[6] (Japanese); David Vincent (English)

A Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer and an alumni of Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High. He also serves as one of Yuji's mentors. His personality is a stark contract to Gojo's, being stoic and serious whereas Gojo is more easy-going. His cursed power allows him to forcibly create weak spots on the target with his weapon, a blunt sword wrapped in cloth.

Kiyotaka Ijichi (伊地知 潔高, Ijichi Kiyotaka)

Voiced by: Mitsuo Iwata[7] (Japanese); Chris Tergliafera (English)

The assistant principal of Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High. He can create a Curtain, a technique used to implement a barrier to separate an area from the outside.

Shoko Ieiri (家入 硝子, Ieiri Shoko)

Voiced by: Aya Endō[7] (Japanese); Ryan Bartley (English)

A doctor at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High and former classmate of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto. Shoko is a rather serious and somber person, has shown that she wants nothing more than to get the job done and often has to stop or get in the middle of Gojo to make fun of others. She has proven to be quite a valuable resource, being one of the few people capable of healing others with the Reverse Healing Cursed Technique.

Masamichi Yaga (夜蛾 正道, Yaga Masamichi)

Voiced by: Takaya Kuroda[7] (Japanese); Keith Silverstein (English)

The Principal of Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High, the creator of Panda and the teacher of Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto and Shoko Ieiri. He accepts Yuji Itadori in the institute only after being convinced that he knows exactly what he is getting into and supports Gojo in opposing the superiors who want Yuji dead. Most of his appearances involve him having to deal with Gojo's (and sometimes Yuji's) escapades. His cursed technique, Cursed Corpse (呪骸, Juga), allows him to animate dolls and control them.

Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High

Students

Aoi Todo (東堂 葵, Tōdō Aoi)

Voiced by: Subaru Kimura[7] (Japanese); Xander Mobus (English)

A third year Sorcerer of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High. He is incredibly strong in hand-to-hand combat, being able to defeat five Grade 1 Cursed Spirits and 1 Special Grade during an attack in Kyoto. He can apply a flash coating of Cursed Energy to his body for defence. Todo also dislikes anything that is boring due to his mundane past as a result of his incredible strength.

Mai Zen'in (禪院 真依, Zen'in Mai)

A second year Sorcerer of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High. She detests her twin sister Maki after the latter left her and their clan to study in becoming a Jujutsu Sorceror. As the younger sister, she inherits a strong Curse Energy compared to Maki's, though greatly lacking in physical strength and athleticism. An expert markswoman, she uses a revolver infused with Cursed Energy to take out Curses or other Sorcerers.

Kasumi Miwa (三輪 霞, Miwa Kasumi)

A second year Sorcerer of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High and Gakuganji's secretary. She is also a fan of Gojo. Coming from an impoverished family, she wishes to become a Jujutsu Sorceror to provide financial relief to her siblings. She is proficient with a sword and her Shadow-Style: Simple Domain technique allows her to instinctively strike at anything that comes wihin 2.21 meters of her radius.

Kokichi Muta (与 幸吉, Muta Kōkichi)

A second year Sorcerer of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High. Being born with a Heavenly Restriction (天 (てん)与 (よ)呪 (じゅ)縛 (ばく), Ten'yo Jubaku), Kokichi's body is fragile and weak, but he has immense amounts of cursed energy in exchange for it. His cursed technique, Puppet Manipulation (傀儡操術, Kairai Sōjutsu), allows him to manipulate puppets all over the country. His daily life and sorcerer's missions are undertaken by an assortment of puppets he uses for combat and communication, each of them named Ultimate Mechamaru (究極 メカ丸, Arutimetto Mekamaru).

Momo Nishimiya (西宮 桃, Nishimiya Momo)

A third year Sorcerer of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High.

Noritoshi Kamo (加茂 憲紀, Kamo Noritoshi)

Voiced by: Satoshi Hino[8]

Heir of the Kamo family. He uses blood manipulation techniques.

Faculty and staff

Yoshinobu Gakuganji (楽巌寺 嘉伸, Gakuganji Yoshinobu)

Voiced by: Mugihito[7] (Japanese); Kyle Hebert (English)

The Principal of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High and one of the elders pushing for Itadori's execution. He uses a guitar to send Cursed Energy by the amplification of the melody he plays.

Utahime Iori (庵 歌姫, Iori Utahime)

Voiced by: Yoko Hikasa[8]

A Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer and one of the teachers of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High. While she is usually very polite and reserved, the mere sight of Gojo is enough to make her blood boil, as she is often teased by him for being weak.

Cursed spirits

Ryomen Sukuna (両面宿儺, Ryōmen Sukuna, "Double-Faced Spectre")

Voiced by: Junichi Suwabe[10] (Japanese); Ray Chase[2] (English)

A high-grade demon curse, considered the undisputed 'King of Curses' due to his power and malevolence. According to legend, Sukuna was a four-armed demon resembling a human, who appeared during the prime era of sorcery. Sorcerers of his time were unable to exorcise him, storing his 20 fingers as cursed charms, hoping that one day these charms would be destroyed. Currently, he is the "guest" of Yuji Itadori's body. He has expressed an interest in Megumi Fushiguro's abilities, and plans to regain his power and body. Satoru Gojo claims he can beat him, but Sukuna has expressed a desire to kill him, and his power is such that all other Cursed Spirits are attempting to restore him.

Mahito (真人, Mahito)

Voiced by: Nobunaga Shimazaki[7] (Japanese); Lucien Dodge (English)

A high-grade humanoid curse, whose goal is to exterminate the human race, and a curse born of human hatred. Mahito is sadistic, immature and loves to play with human emotions, even when his life is in danger. He believes that life has no value or meaning, and therefore everyone should do what they want. This mentality seems to stem from his ability to perceive and manipulate souls, which makes him see the soul, and by extension the heart, as nothing more than an object. His cursed technique allows him to manipulate the soul of himself and others by changing the shape of the body, thus enabling him to transfigure the bodies of his victims by turning them into monsters at his service.

Hanami (花御, Hanami)

Voiced by: Atsuko Tanaka[7]

A high-grade undead curse born of humanity's fear of forests. He believes humans have gone too long in ruining Earth's environment, and he wants to allow the planet to shine again without human cruelty. His cursed power allows him to create plants that he can manipulate. Hanami is also able to steal life energy from plants and store it in the flower on his left shoulder.

Jogo (漏瑚, Jōgo)

Voiced by: Shigeru Chiba[7] (Japanese); Michael Sorich (English)

A high-grade cyclops-like curse born of humanity's fear of the earth. Jogo has immense pride as a cursed spirit and a passionate hatred of humans. He is convinced that cursed spirits are the true form of humanity as they represent pure truths of life such as hatred, while human beings feign so many positive emotions that they are false beings that should be exterminated. His pride leads him to be numb towards humans and casually kill them, but it also leads to overconfidence. Despite warnings that his entire group cannot kill Gojo, Jogo attempted to defeat him in a single fight and was completely overwhelmed. Using his cursed power, he is able to create mini volcanoes that can generate extremely powerful fire eruptions capable of destroying everything in their path. Jogo is also capable of creating as well as controlling lava and flames.

Suguru Geto (夏油 傑, Getō Suguru)

A Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer and former classmate of Satoru and Shoko, and thus a student of Yaga. His cursed technique allows him to absorb and control natural curses and use them for combat. During his time at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High, he develops a strong hatred for people without magical powers to the point of wanting to exterminate them all to give life to a world of sorcerers only, an act that according to him, it would prevent the creation of cursed spirits and consequently end the cycle in which all sorcerers are trapped. He is later confirmed to have been killed by Gojo at the end of Volume 0, leaving his body free to be possessed by the sorcerer who would become the second Suguru Geto.
