Liridon Krasniqi
Liridon Krasniqi (born 1 January 1992) is a footballer [1]professional who plays as an attacking midfielder for A-League club Newcastle Jets on loan from Malaysia Super League club Johor Darul Ta'zim F.C. Born in Kosovo, Liridon Krasniqi represents the Malaysia national football team.[2]

Club career
Youth career
Krasniqi started his youth career at 1. FC Nürnberg in 2008, where he stayed for one year. He was released in June 2009.[3]
Mladá Boleslav
He moved to the youth academies of Czech side Slavia Prague before signing on 2 March 2011 for Mladá Boleslav in Czech First League, until the end of the 2010–11 season.[4] He played his first and only match on 14 May 2011 against Jablonec 97, coming on as a substitute in the 69th minute, taking place of Ondřej Kúdela; the match finished as a 2–1 loss.[5]
Ankaraspor
On 29 July 2013 he signed a three-year contract with Turkish First League club Ankaraspor.
Loan to Fethiyespor
Two days later, he was loaned to fellow First League team Fethiyespor. He made it his debut for Fethiyespor on 18 August 2013 against 1461 Trabzon, playing the full match which finished as a 3–2 loss.[6] On 25 September 2013, he scored his first goal for the club in a Turkish Cup match against Kızılcabölükspor, where Krasniqi scored in the 64th minute as the match finished 3–1 for Fethiyespor.[7] On 8 December 2013, Krasniqi scored in the 5–1 away win against Denizlispor.[8] For this performance, he was voted as man of the match and player of the week.[9] On 20 April 2014, Krasniqi scored the opening goal in a match against Adana Demirspor, which his team lost 3–1.[10]
Kedah
On 9 April 2015, Krasniqi signed a contract with Malaysian Premier League club Kedah. He scored his first goal and winning goal for Kedah in a 2–1 win against Negeri Sembilan on 17 April 2015. Overall, he scored five goals and provided nine assists in 15 league appearances in his debut season and help Kedah to win their fourth title of Malaysia Premier League and thus promoted to 2016 Malaysia Super League. He scored one goal against Johor Darul Ta'zim II in the last match of group stage of 2015 Malaysia Cup. Kedah won that game 4–2 and secured a place to the quarter-finals.
Krasniqi signed a one-year contract extension with Kedah for 2016 season. On 9 April 2016, he scored two goals in 2016 Malaysia Super League 2–2 draw against Penang. On 30 October 2016, he helped Kedah win Malaysia Cup against Selangor in Shah Alam Stadium. The match ended at 1–1 after full time and remained the same after extra time. Krasniqi was one of the players who converted his shot in the penalty shootout that ended 6–5 in Kedah's favour.
On 20 November 2018, he was released by Kedah.
International career
Albania
On 29 March 2011, Krasniqi made his debut with Albania U21 in a friendly match against Israel U21 after coming on as a substitute in place of Imran Bunjaku.
Kosovo
On 2 March 2014, Krasniqi received a call-up from Kosovo for the nation's first permitted FIFA match against Haiti[11] and made his debut after coming on as a substitute in the 72nd minute in place of Ardian Gashi.
Personal life
Liridon received Malaysian citizenship in February 2020 after staying in the country for almost five years, becoming eligible for the Malaysian national team.[12][13]
