The municipality covers an area of 13.4 square kilometres (5.2 sq mi), and has a population of 461 (as at 3 July 2006).
Libějovice lies approximately 28 kilometres (17 mi) south-east of Strakonice, 26 km (16 mi) north-west of České Budějovice, and 110 km (68 mi) south of Prague.
Historical monuments
- Old renaissance castle in Libějovice was renewed in the 1st Half of 18th century by Emanuel the count of Bucquoy, it is a historical monument and privat property now.
- Nearby Libějovice is situated a pilgrimige site Lomec (or Lomeček) with a unique baroque church of the Name of Virgin Mary, cared by the Order of Gray School Sisters.
