Lawrence Wolfe

Lawrence Wolfe was an American football coach and basketball coach. He served as the head coach in both sports at Western Oregon University and Linfield College.[1]

Wolfe served as the head football coach at Linfield from 1926 to 1927, compiling a record of 8–7–2.[2] He then served as the Western Oregon head coach from 1928 to 1934, earning a record of 41–13–4.[3]

During his time at Western Oregon (then-known as Oregon Normal School), he is credited with inspiring the school's "Wolf" mascot.[4]
