Laney College Football Stadium
Laney College Football Stadium[1] is a multi-purpose stadium located near Lake Merritt, in Oakland, California. It is owned by Laney College and is the home field of the Oakland Roots SC of the USL Championship.[2] For Roots games the pitch is widened using a modular turf system. The Stadium has room for 3,500 seated and up to 5,500+ with standing room.[3]

The stadium replaced the Frank Youell Field, that was the home of the Oakland Raiders of the American Football League from 1962 to 1965.[4][2] Frank Youell Field was demolished in 1969.[2]
