Geography
Lažany is located 4 kilometers northwest of Turnov, 19 kilometers southeast of Liberec and 76 kilometers northeast of Prague.
The municipality is bordered by Paceřice to the north, by Ohrazenice to the east, by Přepeře to the south and by Čtveřín to the west.
History
The first written mention of the village was in 1397.
